out of body experience

The doctors in Belgium implanted electrodes in the
brain.  The case was ringing of ear.  This sparked an out-of-body experience.  This out-of-body experience happened to me
when I was asleep in the night, I felt sometimes I am in a totally different
world.  Once I felt I am in a desert and
drowning in the sand.  This dream cropped
up when I was in high fever.  Sometimes I
had unusual diabolic experiences of death and unusual storms and natural
catastrophe.

The 63-year-old man was stimulated by the electrodes.  He felt like he was outside the body twice
for 15 and 21 seconds.  This allowed the
doctors to use a PET scanner to know which part of the brain was active.  This out-of-body near death experience have
been felt by people whose hearts have stopped for a certain time.  The scientists doubt that during epilepsy,
brain stimulation and migraine headache, an out-of-body experience occurs.  In Antwerp
University
, a team lead
by Dirk De Ridder studied this supernatural experience.  This finding has been published in the New
England Journal of Medicine.  The effort
of trying to cure a man of tinnitus in one ear lead to this phenomenon.  Unusually the treatment did not work.  The man felt like he was 50 centimeters
behind his body and off to the left.  The
portion of the brain called superior temporal gyrus produced the
sensation.  PET showed other parts of the
brain remained active.  It included the
supramarginal gyrus.  This part processes
the information from the inner ear designed to detect head movement and
position.

The neuroscientists speculate whether these regions of the
brain are activated leading to disembodiment.
There are many things in life which are unresolved.  There are many things which make us think how
this happened.  It might be beyond the
understanding of our brain.
